Re: Brentford Sign Toney Replacement

I know I'll be accused of starting another Brighton love-in, but in a similar vein... they have Mitoma as a left winger. They also have Adingra (oicked up for a song) They will doubtless sell Mitoma for fortunes in the summer so have brought in Osman.

We could only dream of having similar foresight

And on Toney, remember Sullivan was offered him by Barry Fry for £5m and he turned him down

With their size and resources Brentford should be a Championship club at best.
But they are brilliantly run and have great scouting.
They always knew they would lose Watkins & Benrahma & got about £60m odd for them .... then they bought Toney from Peterborough for an initial £5m and will be banking a big cheque in the summer
Id have more confidence in their judgement in replacing him
They have even made Maupay look like a footballer again

Meanwhile we've lost money on Haller & Scamacca & have the ludicrously paid Ings playing a minute of football a week if that

Re: Brentford Sign Toney Replacement
Brentford should be in the Championship from their historic status in football which is to be in the lower leagues. But instead they look to play way above what is expected from them and prepare to sustain it and every season they are in the Premier League is a testament to how you should not except your expected placing within football......in any sport it's known as competing at the top level NOT cowering from it because others outside of your club don't want the extra competition and like you to compete in the things they are not bothered about....
